Book Proposals

Critique/Evaluation: written assessment of strengths and
weaknesses within context of subject category, sales potential,
demographic, etc. This is an analysis only, not a set of corrections.
Corrections may follow in accordance to the initial agreement with the
author.

Publisher Approaches: development of chapter-by-chapter outline,
query letters, fully written sample chapter, book packages, direction
on specific publishers to query.

Project Management: manage book from pre-press (outline, editing,
layout and design) to print.

Publicity: press releases, cover letters, full media kits,
recommendations on avenues of author publicity and general book
exposure strategies. I have booked authors for a variety of media and
have a general sense of the direction to point a given book subject for
potential media exposure. I have contacts in the publicity world
available as consultants to me as well as national media contacts of
my own.

General

I am familiar with distribution methods in the book industry, the
requirements, the deadlines, etc.

I have bookstore experience as well and am familiar with bookstore
methods of book exposure.
